Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 it finally has a release date, and it won’t be long before we play PS5 exclusives, thanks to new information that debuted during E3 2023’s replacement Summer Game Fest.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 now has an October 20 release date, supporting the year-end PS5 exclusivity that is currently a barren landscape. Insomniac has not shown any new material Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 during the Summer Game Fest presentation itself, but the release date alone is sure to have Marvel fans marking their calendars.
It was a little disappointing that no release date was set during last month’s PlayStation Showcase. Fortunately, we didn’t have to wait too long for official confirmation as Summer Game Fest came to the rescue to reassure fans.
Unfortunately, we haven’t received any more trailers Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 during his presence at Summer Game Fest; Instead, Insomniac decided to keep it short and sweet. Still, with the official release date just over four months away, it won’t be long before we drive through New York again as Peter Parker and Miles Morales.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 already looks like a contender for our list of the best PS5 games. The original impressed with its elaborate web-throwing mechanics and intricate combat, with multiple ways to approach the scenarios. Hopefully there will be a little less of a spin-off like Mary Jane and the other supporting characters in the sequel, though it will be interesting to see how said characters evolved and what role they’ll play Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
Thankfully, there’s still plenty of Spider-Man before October 20. Both Marvel’s Spider-Man AND Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales are available to download and play on PS Plus. By Spider-Verse just entered theaters. Meanwhile, Marvel Snap just launched By Spider-Verse themed season, packing cards of iconic characters from the blockbuster movie.
